Teenage Jerk Off - The As - The As (Vinyl, LP, Album)

So good to listen without wow, flutter and especially POPS. Great album! One person found this helpful. Sometimes happens with later produced CDs, the actually recording level was low. But you can tell if you pay attention. Awful sounding vinyl. The music of course is great--a classic greatest hits album. But this just sounds so awful. No skips. But tinny, flat, background noise. Would rather just listen to the CD. See all reviews. Top reviews from other countries. Translate all reviews to English.

A great collection of early Chicago hits, before they went soft and slushy. Bought this to replace my old vinyl copy, and can now enjoy bringing back memories of the early 70's. Only problem, how to edit the long ending to "Beginnings" Report abuse. Sorcerer has enjoyed a critical re-evaluation and is now widely considered to be a cinematic masterpiece. There were only three members of the band, but the sound they produced was orchestral. Features deluxe packaging, old style gatefold jackets with satin coating, exclusive liner notes by director William Friedkin , and new art by Tony Stella.

After a meteorite lands in the front yard of their farmstead, Nathan Gardner Nicolas Cage and his family find themselves battling a mutant extraterrestrial organism as it infects their minds and bodies, transforming their quiet rural life into a technicolor nightmare.

Of the soundtrack, Stetson says:. I began trying to answer that by layering the sounds of coral reefs, processing that cacophony and finding the order revealed through harmonic generation of these hyperdensities, and then continued to chase that same concept of 'transfiguring the natural' down every path and application I could see.

Turns out it's somewhere between magenta and hot pink : ". The music by legendary composer Bernard Herrmann was his final score before his death on December 24th, Also included is the complete and remastered original soundtrack release. The new album artwork by Rich Kelly is approved by director Martin Scorsese. Available for the first time, the original soundtrack release has been expanded to include the complete film music.

The album artwork was created by illustrator Edward Kinsella. Redmond Ph. The new, deluxe soundtrack LP features the complete soundtrack to the classic film, and has been re-mastered directly from the original master tapes and pressed to gram vinyl. Deluxe features include exclusive liner notes from director William Friedkin , re-mastered audio, old style tip-on gatefold jackets with soft touch coating, a 12"x12" booklet, gram colored vinyl, and all new artwork by Justin Erickson of Phantom City Creative.

Directed by Roman Polanski and scored by Polish composer Krzysztof Komeda , Waxwork presents once again the classic score re-mastered for vinyl and sourced from the original master tapes. Track List: Side A 1. Main Title 2. Furnishing The Apartment 3.

Chanting 4. Dream 5. Lullaby 6. The Pain 7. Holiday Music 9. After The Call To Hutch Good Appetite The other components are much more upscale. Everything has been carefully selected for sonic neutrality. This isn't about conjuring mega-bass or shimmering highs. The goal is flat frequency response, getting as close as possible to the sound on the original master tape.

Nothing added or subtracted. When the shootout finally gets underway, lights are dimmed, eyelids fall and ears peak. With each cut sampled, the usual things are carefully pondered: presence, frequency extension, transparency, soundstage, texture, tonal correctness, and an elusive quirk called "tubey magic" seriously.

Every element is scrutinized in granular detail. If opinions diverge or memories fail, reference copies are pulled from the archive to check benchmarks. It's tedious work. When the grades are tabulated, a sonic pecking order emerges:. It's tempting to dismiss hot stampers as pseudoscience, like cryogenically treated speaker cables , power amp fuses zapped with Tesla coils , and every other confidence scheme devised to separate affluent middle-aged audiophiles from the contents of their wallets.

Talk to enough studio engineers and record plant technicians, though, and it becomes apparent that the aural disparity between records that Tom Port prattles on about really does exist. Industry experts agree that copies of the same album can, and often do, sound different; sometimes a little, sometimes a lot. Not just from copy to copy, and from side A to side B, but from track to track, and, yes, even within the same track. In fact, vinyl records made on the same stamper, during the same production run also can vary in sound quality.

Other copies, bearing different record labels, pressed in different countries, using different equipment and personnel, will impart their own sonic flavor, which only muddles the issue further. Only the producer, the mastering, and cutting engineers really know what that record was supposed to sound like. If so, I'll buy it. As for you Despite that, it's kind of a fun album.

Of course, if you don't like surf rock music with silly lyrics about monsters, you'll probably hate it. Really fun. Campy music. I love them I liked them every since I watch the on tv great stuff. Groovy LP for Munsters fans! Great CD, fast shipping. The song the album are cool. The Munsters cast did NOT sing on the original vinyl album as one reviewer has assumed. It doesn't say they sing on the album, though the original cover is a little shady in the transparency department in attempt to market to us kids back then.

The performers apparently involved The Wrecking Crew studio musicians as well as an early 60's band called The GoGo's not to be confused with the popular 80's girl group on IRS Records. This surf-rock band did the vocals. Gary Puckett, as well as other acts was in this band. It doesn't sound like it was sourced from vinyl, but if Aaron K mastered it from vinyl, it doesn't sound like it. Either way, this is not exactly Pink Floyd or Steely Dan audio quality in the first place.

There are a couple of stereo YouTube clips, and the stereo mixes on some of the cuts are mixed so annoying as to suggest they are fake stereo. One cut "Vampire Vamp" was true stereo on the original vinyl LP. In later years other reissue producers have discovered while searching for certain masters, they cannot be found in Universal City, nor in storage facilities on the East Coast. Also with all of the shuffling at UMG along with their many world-wide acquisitions, I doubt anyone really knows where half their masters now reside.

See all reviews. Top reviews from other countries. Very clever lyrics and a wonderful variety of musical influences woven together in a unique way. Catchy, but not trite.

I've always seen Muse as influenced by Queen, and I see twenty one pilots very much in the in the same lineage. It's been a long time since I've come across an album that I instantly liked pretty much all of the songs first listen. Vessel too. If you like good music, no matter what generation you're of, keep an open mind and give them a listen.

Oh, and parents of pre-teen and up children that care and actually pay attention to what their kids take in, you won't find any cleaner act in the current musical landscape.

No cheap thrills here. See all reviews. Top reviews from other countries. This is a very good album. I discovered it because a YouTuber did a parody of Stressed Out witch is one of the songs on this album. I really liked the parody so I looked up the original song on YouTube. I really liked it so I found the album on Amazon and it was available to stream for free as that was included with my Amazon Prime subscription.

I listened to the whole album and really liked it so I decided to buy it on Amazon. This album is not normally the kind of music I listen to but I really liked it. My favourite song on the album is Stressed Out but the other songs on it are good as well.

I have already listened to the digital version of the album that was included for free with my purchase of the CD several times while I wait for the CD to arrive.

If you buy the CD directly from Amazon you get an MP3 version of the album for free so you don't have to wait for it to arrive before you can listen to it. If you are unsure about buying this album and have Amazon Prime you can stream it for free on Amazon music. Just search for the album on Amazon as if you are going to buy it and you will find the album with a button underneath that says listen now and if you have Amazon Prime it will say included with your Prime Membership.

If you don't have Amazon Prime and are unsure about buying the album try and see if there is another legal way you can listen to the album for free to see if you like it. Report abuse. Make sense so far? That brings us to remastering, which is redoing that whole process again. His version was vastly superior because it sounds cleaner, less harsh and brittle, and more nuanced. Why would you want to remaster an album? It takes more skill to fit that low-end material on a record.

the first stooges LP is a brilliant forward looking entity which at the time was derided as amateur playing with delinquent theatrics, a going nowhere disc that would soon be forgotten about was how the record business saw the stooges, a lost cause that had no right in existing as a musical 'pop group' this first outing is raw and untutored, two things that make it a singular waxing any way.

  7. Apr 18,  · For vinyl albums, you’re trying to add back the technical elements that were lost when the first record was pressed. “Older records in the Sixties and Seventies don’t have a ton of deep bass. To fit more on the album, they cut everything off at 40 or 50 hertz,” explains Katz.
